Graze the Roof Community BBQ

You Are Invited To Join Us for a Graze the Roof Community BBQ!!!

When: This Saturday, February 6th from 11:00am-1pm

Where: The rooftop garden at 330 Ellis St. Please take the elevator to the 5th floor and walk up two flights of stairs to the roof. Please note that the rooftop is not ADA accessible.

What: A Community Rooftop BBQ. Come celebrate a new year of rooftop gardening at Glide. Bring your friends and family and something to share. It won’t be a success without you!

***We will provide some veggie Kabobs, some grilled chicken and a little something to drink but it won’t be enough for everyone***

From keeping up heirloom varieties to creating new vegetable types suited to your climate, this workshop will get you started in the ancient and satisfying tradition of seed saving.

Workshop: Introduction to Beekeeping in the City

Are you interested in learning the basics of beekeeping in the city? What about beekeeping on rooftops? Graze the Roof is excited to learn more about the possibility and invites you to join us for a presentation and discussion given by Susan Prentice and Paul Koski of the San Francisco Beekeepers Association where they will discuss the importance of bees and will discuss the time and cost of beekeeping, what equipment is needed, where to put a hive, how to extract honey and general maintenance and upkeep requirements. Anyone interested in bees and their impact on our environment are welcome to attend.

Suggested $10-15 donation, benefiting Graze the Roof (no one turned away for lack of funds).
